The works have centred on great crested newt mitigation, with exclusion fencing, trapping infrastructure, newt grids and associated works delivered in phases. The team also re-dug ponds that had previously failed, excavating to 4 metres depth before lining, seam welding, topsoiling and planting to create receptor habitat.
Outcome
Works were delivered closely with ecologists, on time and in line with licence conditions, supporting great crested newt mitigation and receptor habitat creation.
