About Oliver Brown Ltd
Oliver Brown Ltd is a specialist commercial contractor supporting land management, seeding, fencing, ecological works, invasive weed control, forestry, solar farms and operated machine hire.
Based in the East Midlands, we work with Tier 1 contractors, local authorities, government organisations, developers, utilities, infrastructure teams and landowners across the UK. Most of our work is delivered within roughly two hours of our base, although we operate nationally where the project requires the right experience, machinery and approach.
Our role is simple: to help clients deliver challenging land-based projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Meet Oliver Brown
Oliver Brown Ltd was founded in 2008 by Oliver Brown, after leaving a successful role with an established forestry and land management contractor.
Starting with little more than a van, a spade and a determination to build something of his own, Oliver took on the first projects using borrowed equipment, including his father’s grey Ferguson tractor. The company’s first hydroseeder and dedicated machinery fleet soon followed, laying the foundations for the business as it operates today.
Since then, Oliver Brown Ltd has grown into a trusted specialist contractor, supporting developers, infrastructure providers, local authorities and Tier 1 contractors across the UK. Through years of hard work, practical problem-solving and investment in specialist equipment, the business has built a reputation for delivering reliable results on complex projects.
Today, the company provides a wide range of land management, seeding, fencing, vegetation management, invasive weed control and ecological contracting services. While the business has evolved significantly from its early days, the values remain the same: a hands-on approach, technical knowledge and a commitment to getting the job done properly.
Specialist Machinery, Experienced Operators and Site-Ready Delivery
Our capability is supported by a wide range of specialist machinery, including agricultural and compact tractors, AEBI tractors and attachments, diggers and attachments, mowers, flail mowers, robotic mulchers, seed drills, cultivators, power harrows, discs, hydroseeders, post knockers, low loaders and operated plant.
This allows us to work across varied terrain, restricted-access areas, steep slopes, large open sites and sensitive ecological environments. It also means we can adapt the method to the site, rather than trying to force every project through the same process.
For clients, that means better planning, fewer delays and a contractor that understands the practical realities of working on live commercial sites.
